Learning about Current Unbalance

Current Unbalance occurs when the currents on the electrical phases in your power system are not equal. This issue is a leading cause of motor overheating and premature failure.

Current Unbalance is determined by comparing the currents on each phase of your distribution network to the average current. A measured Current Unbalance of just 10% can signify that motors in your facility may be at risk of overheating and failure.
