Learning about Power Factor

Most utilities offer an incentive to their customers to keep electrical efficiency (measured by Power Factor) high. These incentives require that customers maintain their Power Factor above a certain threshold (often 0.9) to avoid incurring penalties.

Power factor correction devices improve overall electrical efficiency upstream of their point of connection in the electrical network, and help to avoid the extra cost of penalties from the utility. Contact Schneider Electric for help with improving your Power Factor.
